Dunbar City Park

Poteau’s Dunbar Park is located on what used to be the old Boy Scout Camp.  The park is named in honor of the old Dunbar School, which was an all-black school and the first in Oklahoma to be desegregated.  The park was founded by Ms. Ladell Phillips , Mrs Byrd, and Ms. Linda.  It was upgraded later by Lisa Lynn and several volunteers. Today, it is one of Poteau’s nicest parks.
